Next level racing - Gwin takes World Cup Overall Title

Last Saturday, the Downhill World Cup found its peak as YT Mob rider Aaron Gwin secured the overall victory of 2017 with a spectacular run. The latest episode of "Tales of the Mob" - the Val di Sole edition - gives an emotional look behind the scenes of this outstanding week.

There had been loads of calculations and speculations during last week – the three favorites Minnaar, Gwin and Brosnan were point-wise so close to each other that the final outcome of the 2017 season was unpredictable until the very last minute. When Aaron set the fastest time during Qualifying, Minnaar’s lead shrinked to even 23 points only.

But in the very end, it was Gwin who took not only the win of the race but also the Overall Title of 2017 with a clear and unbelievable fast race run. He even was nearly five seconds faster than in the qualifying.

A season with ups and downs found a fantastic end with a phenomenal result in Val di Sole. Big relief and great joy on the side of Aaron, the YT Mob and the whole YT crew which is absolutely stoked and proud of what the YT Mob has reached in its only two years of existence. The latest episode of “Tales of the Mob” is out now and resumes a truly thrilling week in Italy.

In a few days, the YT Mob will head over to Cairns, Australia, for the 28th Downhill World Championships in early September.
