„Do your best and forget the rest.”
Neko got his start in bicycle racing through his father, a competitor in the NORBA national mountain bike races in the 90’s. He raced BMX with his brother until he was 13 when he switched to downhill mountain biking. The U.S. Open was at its prime just a few hours from Neko’s house at the time that he took an interest in the sport, and he was drawn in by the opportunity to meet some of the top riders in the world. After a successful amateur career, Neko was picked up by Martin Whiteley and was able to win a silver medal at the Junior World Championships with his team. Later they went on to reach the World Cup podium together. This year Neko joins the YT Mob and teams up with Aaron and Martin for the second time in his career, in what has proven to be a successful partnership.
Neko is focused racer. His bike set up has evolved from timed test sessions to find the fastest way down the track. Neko rides a Mob Team spec size XL TUES, with the FOX X2 air shock, 170mm cranks and 785mm bars. Finding a balance of support and traction was easy with the progressive nature of the TUES chassis.
